A collaboration between 20syl and J.Medeiros delivers a mix of hip hop and electronic in which both artists put their remarkable styles and skills into a product that sounds very satisfying and refreshing. Opening the track with the famous line from “Testify” by Rage Against The Machine, AllttA tackles a sensitive topic about the media and government controlled society. The lyrics are amazing, and so is the production part brought by 20syl. The childlike choir vocals that appear, slightly remind of Pink Floyd’s “The Wall”, a song that is awakening the eye of the mass – exactly what AllttA manages to do with “The Woods”. The electronic pigment slides very gently in the back of the uplifting and inspiring beats, and it makes a great combo.
The track belongs to AllttA’s debut album “The Upper Hand” that was released just this year.
